Our Mission
The Anglican Communion has identified these 5 Marks of Mission:
- To proclaim the Good News of the Kingdom
- To teach, baptise and nurture new believers
- To respond to human need by loving service
- To transform unjust structures of society, to challenge violence of every kind and pursue peace and reconciliation
- To strive to safeguard the integrity of creation, and sustain and renew the life of the earth.
Some of the ways our parish pursues these marks of mission include: ministry to the bereaved; care and support for the sick and infirm; pastoral care; ministry in nursing homes; ministry to children (Sunday School, SRE); child sponsorship; Christian education programmes; and support for welfare services and agencies, locally and internationally.
