The Anglican Communion has identified these 5 Marks of Mission:
- To proclaim the Good News of the Kingdom
- To teach, baptise and nurture new believers
- To respond to human need by loving service
- To transform unjust structures of society, to challenge violence of every kind and pursue peace and reconciliation
- To strive to safeguard the integrity of creation, and sustain and renew the life of the earth.
Some of the ways our parish pursues these marks of mission include: ministry to the bereaved; care and support for the sick and infirm; pastoral care; ministry in nursing homes; ministry to children (Sunday School, SRE); child sponsorship; Christian education programmes; and support for welfare services and agencies, locally and internationally.
Christian Education and Formation: Study groups and sessions are held during the year which explore various aspects of Christian faith and practice, including Lenten studies, Bible study, spirituality, social justice issues, reconciliation and other topical material
Home Communion is offered to those who are ‘housebound’ in some centres
Involvement in Special Religious Education in local schools
Pastoral care and worship are regularly provided in Molong Aged Care facilities
A Fellowship Group meets in the Cudal Church on 1st and 3rd Wednesdays at 11.00am followed by lunch – February to December
The Molong Community Garden fellowship meets on the first Thursday of the month in the church grounds, to garden, chat, have a ‘cuppa’ and fellowship. Generally between 9.00 and 11.30am, with the gathering being subject to weather conditions
Other activities such as concerts and luncheons are held throughout the year, and details are published in the parish bulletin
