Here is the Lord’s promise: He is able to do more than either we ask or imagine! (Ephesians 3:20) Will join us in prayer for the enabling and empowering of God’s church in the Bathurst Diocese? Will you pray with us that we might make more disciples, according to Jesus’ great commission?
Pray through monthly diocesan prayer points:
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7)

Levi is Bathurst’s first ministry apprentice! Levi has been identified as a gifted and godly individual within the diocese and will be trained in ministry via an MTS apprenticeship, before considering the next step in his ministry journey.
This is an exciting step for both Levi and the diocese. Will you support Levi as he trains under the Rev’d Josh Taylor to SHARE JESUS for LIFE?

In January 2023 Jonny Lush moved from Brisbane with his wife Liz and youngest son Sam, to begin serving the Lord in the parish of Oberon, their first paid minister for many years! Praise God that, since Jonny’s arrival, the congregation has grown, and can now afford 3 days stipend (up from 1 day stipend in 2023 and 2 days stipend in 2024). With Jonny now being remunerated full time (i.e. 5 days a week) that still leaves 2 days stipend that needs to be funded externally.
Jonny and Liz love Oberon. They are deeply aware of the need for the greater Oberon community to know God’s grace in Jesus. Can you also partner with existing donors and Jonny and Liz as they seek to SHARE JESUS FOR LIFE?

Bec Choi began as a lay stipendary worker in 2021 and was ordained as a deacon in February 2022 working among families and women in the town of Blayney and village of Millthorpe. In April 2025 Bec moved to Holy Trinity Orange to continue similar work in a half-time capacity. Are you able to support Bec as she works alongside Rev’d Andy Martin to SHARE JESUS FOR LIFE?

There are many pathways into ministry in the Bathurst Diocese, and while unusual, this is one of them: Justin (and Alysha and family) is a part-time Student Minister at Dubbo Parish, a part-time student at Bible college.
Justin is working with children and youth and is training in preaching, leading services, pastoral work, evangelism and other ministry.
Will you support Justin as he trains alongside Archdeacon Andrew Thornhill to SHARE JESUS for LIFE?
... by Giving
to our workers
Many of our parishes cannot support our ministers full-time or even part-time. Will you consider supporting our workers financially by regular giving towards their stipends?
Please transfer funds to the following account clearly indicating in the reference which minister you are supporting.
Account Name: Synod Management Fund
BSB: 082 441
Account Number: 392 655 240
Please click on the ‘Give’ button (it may take a few seconds to load) and select the minister you wish to support from the drop-down menu. Fees are 1.9% + 30c per transaction – it would be fantastic if you could cover them for us.
If you would like to support Ministry Apprentice, Levi Kowalczyk, please click here. This will take you to Levi’s MTS support page.
to Work on Bathurst Cathedral Buildings
The Diocese of Bathurst School Building Fund is endorsed by the ATO to receive tax deductible donations for repair and enhancement work on buildings or parts of buildings that are used for activities such as kids church, kids club, bible studies, youth group and adult education. Although donations received can currently only be allocated for work on Bathurst Cathedral buildings, it is hoped that this can be expanded to other parishes in the diocese undertaking similar activities.
If donating by direct transfer put your name on the memo and email accounts@bathurstanglican.org.au so that we can issue the receipt to the correct person.
