Bishop-in-Council consists of the bishop, the archdeacons and the dean (all ex officio), and nine elected members of synod, comprising three clergy and six lay persons. In addition, the bishop may appoint one clergy and two lay persons (who are members of synod). The registrar attends and advises as secretary.
Members of the Anglican Property Trust (APT) are trustees of all property and finances of the diocese. This includes responsibility for the Anglican Managed Investments Fund (AMIF). They are charged with being good and godly stewards of all that has been entrusted to the diocese. This involves making wise and strategic decisions, as well as advising Bishop-in-Council, on a range of property and investment matters including but not limited to: sales, rentals, insurance, maintenance, redress reserve, portfolio strategy and returns to deposit holders.
The APT consists of the bishop as chair, the diocesan archdeacon (or representative), and six elected members of synod, two of whom are to be clergy. The term of elected APT members is six years. The registrar attends and advises as secretary.
The primary duty of the Stipend & Welfare Committee is to provide advice to the bishop regarding the financial, physical and emotional welfare of clergy in the diocese.
The Stipend & Welfare Committee consists of the bishop, clergy, the wife of clergy and other suitable persons as appointed by the bishop. The registrar attends and advises as secretary.
