Pete Stedman\, Senior Minister at Norwest Anglican in Sydney\, will be looking at some of these questions in our keynote talks. We’ll also have practical seminars on how we can be missionally-minded in our local and wider communities. \nPlease prayerfully consider coming along and encourage others to attend. The conference is for all people across our Diocese\, and is a wonderful day of fellowship\, inspiration and practical help. \nKeynote Speaker: Peter Stedman\nPete Stedman is married to Bree\, and has four children aged from 10 to 17. \nHe lives in Sydney\, and when he is not serving at his church\, he is busily involved in his kids lives\, be that coaching his son’s cricket team\, or teaching his daughters to drive. He is also the Senior Minister at Norwest Anglican Church\, where he has served since 2010. \nPete loves Jesus\, and how knowing him makes sense of every part of life. SUMMARY:Diocesan Women's Conference
DESCRIPTION:Join with other women across the Diocese for a wonderful time of teaching and fellowship! \nSpeaker: Clare Deeves\nClare grew up in Sydney but has lived in Perth since 2005 and now considers that home. She is an assistant minister at Kallaroo Anglican Church in Perth\, with particular responsibility for women and co-ordinating the church’s training. Clare also lectures in Church History at Trinity Theological College\, helping students to appreciate their Christian heritage and learn from the examples (good and bad!) of those who have come before us. Her spare time is generally spent hanging out with friends\, but in 2023 she added lawn bowls to her list of recreational activities and is thoroughly enjoying both the game and the community of the bowling of club. \nThis is a free event. BYO lunch or check out the cafes that Bathurst has to offer. Morning tea will be provided.

However\, like lots of young Christians\, it wasn’t till my teens that I understood quite how dreadful I was\, and how astonishing God’s forgiveness and grace are! \nIf you have any spare time\, what do you like to do?\nI love cryptic crosswords\, rock climbing\, hockey and skiing. The only one of those I can still do in Orange are the crosswords. I also like playing board games with my girls\, and hanging out with Amanda. \nWhy should we look forward to hearing from the book of 1 Thessalonians?\nLife can be really hard\, can’t it\, sometimes because we are Christians but sometimes just because life is hard. The Thessalonians really suffered when they became Christians\, but they kept going\, trusting Jesus and serving the Lord God. Paul’s letter shows us how they were able to keep going\, what they believed\, how they lived and what they looked forward to. We learn how to trust and love and hope like they did so that we can keep going till Jesus’ returns. \n[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section]
